First — what is Kroger Community Rewards?

If you haven’t run into it before: it’s a free Kroger program that turns ordinary grocery shopping into a donation, at no cost to the shopper and no change to what they pay.

1
A shopper picks us, once

Kroger lets every customer choose a local nonprofit to support. It takes about two minutes and never has to be done again.

2
They shop exactly as before

Same prices, same fuel points, same coupons. Kroger donates a share of what they already spend to Saving Lost Kids.

3
Our name prints on the receipt

Near the bottom it reads “Saving Lost Kids – Brian Callies Fnd.” That line is the proof their card is linked.

Everything above happens without you. Your part is step four: when someone walks in holding that receipt, you hand them one small thing.

The Math

Marketing that bills you only after the sale

$15–$80
Typical cost to acquire one new restaurant guest

Industry estimates for paid acquisition. Fast-casual brands average around $83 per guest; quick-service around $27. You pay it whether or not anyone walks in.

Under $2
Your cost as a Receipt Partner

The wholesale cost of one drink, side or dessert — and only after the guest has already bought a meal. No ad spend. No per-click fee. No monthly bill.

We’ll be straight with you: not every redeemer is a brand-new guest, and this program is young. What we can promise is that it never costs you anything until someone is already at your counter with a receipt in hand.

How much traffic should you expect?

We’re going to be straight with you, because you’ve heard a hundred people promise foot traffic. This program is new. The shopper side is still growing, and we don’t publish a number because we don’t have an honest one yet. Some months you may see a few receipts. Some months none.

What we can promise is the downside: it costs you nothing until a guest is already standing at your counter with an order. No fee, no minimum, no ad spend, nothing to cancel. We would rather you join expecting little and be pleasantly surprised than the other way around.

Already On Board

You’d be in good company

Eight MidSouth independents have already signed on, each choosing their own perk. You set yours — we never tell you what to give away.

Four Steps

How partnering actually works

1
You pick the perk

A drink, a side, a dessert, a small discount. Whatever you can give away without thinking twice.

2
We put you on the map

Your business gets a card and a pin on our partner page, plus promotion to our supporters.

3
A guest shows a receipt

Any Kroger receipt from the current month showing support for Saving Lost Kids.

4
You hand over the perk

One per visit, with a purchase. That’s the whole transaction.

How to check a Kroger receipt: look for the Saving Lost Kids line and the current month date

That’s the whole check. Your staff never has to add anything up, look anyone up, or call us.

Day to Day

What this looks like at your register

The most common question owners ask isn’t what it costs. It’s whether it will slow down the line.

💬
One sentence to your staff

“If someone shows a Kroger receipt from this month with Saving Lost Kids on it, give them [your perk] with their order.” That’s the entire training.

📋
A card for the register

We print you a counter card with the rule on it, so whoever’s on shift doesn’t have to remember or guess.

⏰
About ten seconds

No app, no code, nothing to scan, nothing to log. Glance at the date, glance at the charity line, hand it over.

📢
We do the promoting

Your own listing and map pin on our public page, plus social posts that tag your business. You don’t have to market this.

Kroger Delta Division

Who’s eligible

Any kind of business — restaurants, cafés, food trucks, donut shops, retailers, local favorites and chains alike. The one requirement is that you’re in the Kroger Delta Division, since that’s where our shoppers’ receipts come from.

Straight Answers

The questions owners actually ask

Who pays for the perk?

You do — in product, not cash. There is no fee to join, no commission, and no invoice from us, ever.

How do I check a receipt?

Look at the date. If it’s from the current calendar month, it’s good. You don’t need to verify anything else.

What if the receipt is from last month?

It’s expired. The rule is on every partner listing so guests know before they arrive.

Can I cap how many I give away?

Yes. Set a daily limit, exclude your busiest hours, or restrict it to certain items. Tell us and we’ll put it on your listing.

Can I change or end my perk?

Anytime, for any reason. Send us a note and we’ll update or remove your listing.

Do I have to donate money?

No. Your participation is the contribution. Kroger makes the donation based on shopper spending, at no cost to you or to them.

How will customers know we’re a partner?

You get your own card and map pin on our public page, we post about you on social and tag your business, and we give you a window decal and counter card if you want them.

What if my staff isn’t sure about a receipt?

Err toward giving it. The perk is small, the goodwill isn’t, and no one is auditing you. If something seems off, call us.

Can I set a start date, or try it for a season?

Yes. Some partners run it year-round, some tie it to a slow month. Tell us the window and we’ll list it that way.
